A cat game for iPhone

Your phone is a door.
He wants in.

Tiger, a sandy tabby tomcat, sits in the garden and stares at you through the glass. Keep him waiting and he meows, then scratches, then stands up and drums on the door. Slide it open, fill his bowls, let him nap — and soon he wants out again.

A tabby cat outside a glass garden door meows, scratches at the glass and drums on it with both paws
How it plays

He asks nicely. At first.

The longer you leave him outside, the harder he asks. Slide the door to the right to let him in — or open it straight from the notification.

Sits and meows

Right away

1

Sits and meows

He comes up to the glass, looks in and meows. Polite, for now.

Scratches the glass

After 3 minutes

2

Scratches the glass

Up comes a paw, and it goes at the glass. He is not asking twice.

Drums on the door

After 8 minutes

3

Drums on the door

He stands up on his hind legs and drums with both paws. Somebody, open this door.

Inside

Three bowls and a bed.

Once he is in, he heads for the bowls — water, kibble and wet food — and you tap a bowl to fill it from the pantry. Then a nap in his bed, and before long he is back at the door, wanting out.

  • Each day he eats one bowl of kibble and half a pouch, however often he comes home
  • An empty bowl means he sits beside it and meows until you fill it
  • Water comes from the tap, free
  • Pantry empty? An emergency ration of kibble every two days — he never starves

Notifications

He calls you, even with the app closed.

Each stage of asking is a notification with a real recording — a meow, a scratch, a knock — gentle at first and louder the longer he waits. Open the door right from the banner or the lock screen.

  • A different call each time: meows, taps, scratches and knocks
  • Quiet nights from 10 pm to 7 am: he sleeps and calls again in the morning
  • How often he visits is up to you: every 20–60 minutes, 1–3 hours or 3–6 hours
  • Full, gentle or silent sounds; the drumming gets through Focus unless you say no
Two looks

A real cat, or a drawn one.

Pick a look when you start and switch any time in settings. The cat, the door and his habits stay the same.

The photo look: a tabby cat sitting outside the glass door

Photo

A real-looking tabby, filmed for every moment: arriving, waiting, scratching, drumming, eating, drinking and curling up to sleep.

The illustrated look: a drawn tabby cat outside the door of a storybook garden

Illustration

A storybook garden and a drawn cat whose pattern, fur and eye colour you choose — tabby, tuxedo, calico, Siamese or a single colour.

Both gardens have weather: clear days, clouds, rain, and in winter snow lying on the patio. He comes to the door in all of it.

More cats

Tiger is getting company.

A catalog of cats is on the way, each one filmed for every scene the game has. These three are next.
